The Course Builder open source project is an experimental early step for us in the world of online education. It is a snapshot of an approach we found useful and an indication of our future direction. We hope to continue development along these lines, but we wanted to make this limited code base available now, to see what early adopters will do with it, and to explore the future of learning technology.

Robin Good: Adobe Anywhere is a cloud-based video editing suite tapping into the power and features of Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects and Prelude.

Your original video files are uploaded online and form there on you and your team can collaboratvley work without ever neededing to send or transfer large files.

Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Prelude, which will need to be updated before they can be used with Anywhere, will be able to operate in standalone mode or in a collaborative fashion with the new  Adobe software. In standalone mode, you use project files stored on your local machine/computer as you would with previous versions of these applications. For collaborative workflows, you log into Adobe Anywhere, and then can use shared assets along and work with others on your production team who also are using Adobe Anywhere.

Adobe Anywhere supports most formats that Adobe Premiere natively supports including HD, SD, DV formats and more. For a complete list, see http://helpx.adobe.com/premiere-pro/kb/supported-file-formats-premiere-pro.html ;

Best 15 Free Video Conferencing Tools 2012

See on Scoop.itAudio & Video Tools for Educators

Robin Good: If you are looking for a free video conferencing solution, here is my selection of the top 15 (and more) solutions available right now online.

I have personally checked each one of them, and while you may not like each one, they all guarantee the ability to video conference with more than two people (FlashMeeting is the only exception I have included) without you needing to pay anything for it.

Some, as good as Vidyo or Zoom.us may provide HD quality video and even full support for mobile platforms. Others, like MeBeam or Sinfor offer bare-bone ad-supported solutions that have zero frills but can do the job if you need an immediate, zero-cost solution.

Check it out here: http://pinterest.com/robingood/top-15-free-video-conferencing-tools-2012/

P.S.: Feel free to suggest tools you know that should belong in this collection.
